VyprVPN vs IPVanish
In these modern times, you’re hard pressed NOT to use the internet on a day to day basis. Whether it’s conducting business, streaming the best and latest entertainment, buying food and clothes, or just catching up with friends; the internet is key. With so much time spent online then, it’s reassuring to know that there are ways of protecting yourself. A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is one such way of doing this. With a VPN you can surf anonymously, bypass certain digital barriers, and keep your personal data secure. But with many different VPN providers out there, it can be tricky finding the one that’s right for you. Today I’ll be comparing two VPNs; IPVanish and VyprVPN.
First up is IPVanish. This is a great VPN, heralding from the United States of America. I like IPVanish because it’s got a pretty robust set of protocols, making a very secure and safe VPN to use. By using OpenVPN encryption, you can be sure that your personal data is protected, and you always have the option to use other types of encryption if you so desire. IPVanish doesn’t keep logs of your internet activity as well, so there’s a good element of anonymity. This is fairly standard practice though, so whilst it’s not a bad thing, it’s not exactly ground breaking. Still, this makes for a very decent VPN.
VyprVPN also has very strong encryption. For a start, the basic package of VyperVPN includes a 128bit PPTP protocol, which should provide sufficient safety measures for most VPN users. If this is not enough for you however, the pro version of the VPN does offer 256bit encryption. Unlike IPVanish, VyprVPN keeps logs. Obviously, VyprVPN do not share this information, and keep the data secure, but if you are a more concerned about anonymity then this might not be the VPN for you. Having said this, given its security features are particularly good, when it comes down to a contest between VyprVPN and IPVanish, VyprVPN wins for me.
